A flexible and environmentally sustainable Creative Think Tank for space exploration at the heart of the CalTech Campus
"A flexible facility in the heart of the Campus provides a home for the KECK Institute for Space Studies -a leading Scientists Think Tank created by CalTech and NASA’s JPL -, for the CalTech’s Board of Trustees and for other Conference, Academic and Social activities.
Integrating adaptive-reuse and new construction allows for generous outdoor areas that take advantage of the local climate and work as extensions of the interior spaces creating a quintessential and timeless Southern California place.

The project’s series of open and enclosed spaces create an oasis where planned and orchestrated “colussions” spark creative dialogue and innovative thinking between scientists from different fields and countries.
The new construction creates a peaceful contrasting backdrop for the historic bungalow house."
